Comments:
Friday night was off to a great start with 100+ more QSOs in the log than
expected but Saturday night was a slog to make only half the QSOs expected. We
thought rain would keep local power line noise down but ambient noise stayed at
S8 just like Friday night and NR DSP on K3s were on overtime trying to pull stns
thru. Worked all U.S. states but only 7 of the 14 Canadian provinces and only 1
of the tough ones,PEI. A VY1 called in early Friday eve but faded out before we
could copy the suffix of the call or chance an exchange. 6 ft RX Loop was of
some help but really need a beverage but real estate in ENE direction is only
100 ft. 2 K3s, ACOM 2000A, 160 Mtr INV V Dipole w/ apex at 70 ft, 6 ft RX Loop.
