Comments:
I thought I would give 10 meters SB SO (Unassisted) a try before the sunspot
cycle dips even lower. With the SFI <98 I knew it could be difficult from
this latitude.
* Day 1 - no Europeans north of the Mediterranean. All QSO's via the skew path
over southern Africa. No QSO runs.
Surprise QSO when JA3YBK called in at 0817 AM local time (13:17 UTC) via
LP.
* Day 2 - Band was a little better with very short runs to eastern and central
Europe. Missed a few hours midday due to family obligations.
* There was excellent representation of contest expeditions in the Caribbean
area. It made things much more interesting. Thanks guys!!
* Noticed plenty of frequency intruders (AM/SSB/music)in the CW band
originating from the SW direction in the afternoons.
I had fun and will see all in the SSB event.
