Comments:
Didn't have the time to commit to a serious contesting effort, but took
advantage of the activity to do some DXing.
Conditions were miserable Saturday, almost no workable activity on 15 or 10,
except for the reliable Carribian/South America to the the south.
Heard some rareish DX on 20m, but I was beginning to wonder if my antenna was
connected at all due to poor conditions and the fact that the DX was probably
not pointed in my direction.
Worked V85AVE on 20m which will be a new DXCC challenge point for me once
confirmed. I think I might have picked up a point or two from Africa as well.
Spent the majority of the weekend running a beverage antenna pointed towards
Europe that should help keep the rate up during the evening hours in next
weekend's WPX contest.
