Comments:

Another nice session. Didn't bother looking at 20. 40 started off really well
with lots of strong signals so started off S&Ping down the bandmap with a
10 min rate of 128 in the first 10 min. After hoovering up all the spots I
could hear I switched to running with a 10 min rate of 96. Hey, maybe I'll
clear the 100Q barrier for the second time. Alas, this was not to be. Rate
fell off drastically so switched to 80. Hmm.. Lots of folks not hearing me.
S&P not too bad but running sucked. Took a while for even any skimmers to
notice me. This has happened a number of times before but I think I now know
why. I had a look at the RBN report for me which shows that I'm 10 dB or more
down on 80 vs 40. Not too surprising, I guess, with 80m dipole only at 48 ft.
Guess I'll have to get an Alpha 95,000 to pick up that 10 dB.

Dipped down to 160 briefly where N6RO had his usual strong signal and the rest
had, as usual, no signal at all.

Frustrating as they may be, I love these CWT's.

See you next time.

73, Jim VE7FO
