Comments:

Band condx were dismal, but the wx was supposed to be good (and it was) so I
decided a part time FD operation was in order. The best part of this whole
operation was the times I went into the house and grabbed an ice cold drink
and sat in front of the A/C unit to cool down. Pretty sure I was bordering on
heatstroke a few times.

I set up in my wife's greenhouse with a modified door (a large tarp instead of
the glass doors, to block the sun.

There was no table to use, so I built one Sat. morning from 1/2" plywood
and added to an expanding frame thingy I got for Father's day. Worked great.

Antenna was a modified ZS6BKW (*added a 15m dple to it, as the stock BKW will
not load on 15m) and then I used a slightly modified fiberglass military mast
the top of which was around 35'. Antenna was arranged as 2 inverted vees,. and
by and large worked well.

BAnds sucked ! I operated from around 3-9pm the first day in 30-45min bursts,
and from 1-3pm the second day almost continuously.

Rig was an Elecraft K3. Power was from a Honda EU2000i generator which created
hash across the bands.(I did try grounding it but no difference) (seemed to be
worse on 20m but was audible all across the spectrum)

N1MM+ logger, old Heil headset, Jones paddle and old metal army chair. (to keep
it real)

Fun was had, but wish signals were better.

No Q's on 160m *(had issues tryng to get the 'BKW to do anything there)
Was too early for 80m, but did work 1 fella)
40m was good...s3 QRN
20m was stinko (real weak signals and QRN up to S7)
15m was the best band here overall. Moderately good signals, but not as many
on.
10m was mostly closed, but did hear a few W4's.....was spotted by a couple W8/9
skimmers and called for 15 mins towards the end without one caller.
6m - dead.
2m - never had a rig for 2m and up.

73watts......only had a 15a power supply and ran it hot ! OUCH

MikeAA VE9AA, 73 from the greenhouse.
