Last year in IARU, lost 2 radios, and the 160m temporary antenna.
This year, the new 80m and 160m summertime temporary antennas
worked FB, but sometime between the beginning and end of the
contest, the big 20/40 antennas turned by the prop pitch
ened up 60 degrees off! No wonder I had problems during the
night trying to work JA/BY and eventually EU. The direction
indication also seemed to lurch (speed changes?) during the
last few hours of the contest.
Was able to turn the top antennas back to proper heading
with battery at base of tower after contest, so ready for
WAE next month, where you don't have to rotate antennas.
Could really have used some receive antennas on the low
bands.
