Comments:

FT1000MP, Alpha 78, 1 KW, TH6DXX, zepp. Everyone should check 15M at the start
of our 0300Z sessions. It was good from here to WJ9B, TX and east. 20M was
great with good signals from almost everyone including a number in Europe and
WH6YH across the state from me. 40M was also good with almost no QRN, but no
DX worked tonight on that band. No need to go to 80 and 160 because the 40M
rate held up right until the closing bell. Any CWT over 10K points has to be
deemed a great success for me, but I know I could ahve worked a few more if I
had switched the amp to 40 when I went there with the transceiver. Only after
I was wondering why I didn't seem to get any answers on my first call did I
realize that I was effectively running barefoot on that band. Thanks for all
the QSOs. Hope six meters will be open this weekend and we can have many QSOs
on 6M in the CQ VHF Contest. 73, John, K4BAI.
