I rarely operate contests in the summer, but decided I'd seen enough of the
Olympics on TV (mostly advertising) and turned on the radio around 10PM. Heard
lots of activity so jumped in and ran until the end of the contest period.
Conditions especially good to west coast on 80m, with very little QRN.
