K2-100 @ 75W Vertical. Well, that was a kick wasn't it. I started out on 15M
hoping it would be productive. I wanted to avoid the mess that was sure to be
on 20M. Spent an hour or so until no more fresh ones were heard. CQing didn't
work at all. So I went down to 20M and joined in the fray. S&P mostly with
a couple of good runs until my tummy said feed me. By the time I got back 40M
was in full swing but I guess I spent too much time at the dinner table because
it petered out by 0300Z. No choice but to go on down to 80. My weakest band. I
wasn't disappointed either. Hearing guys CQ in my face at 20 over S9 isn't much
fun. Hung it up by 0500Z and hit the hay. Sunday morning on 80 was much better
for a short time and so was 40M. Spent most of Sunday on 20M with a bit of time
again on 15M. My goal was 400Q's and by 0130Z 40M was done and 80M was a bust.
Gave up at 0200Z with 394 in the log. A mostly fun time and I'm still amazed
that I can be heard around the country with such a puny station. Thanks for
pulling me out of the noise. I'm sure I stressed a few ears hear and there. 73
