75 % time QRM from neighbours kitchen LEDs.......
First time part contest as SO2R, second day 2nd keyboard on laptop made all
time DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD, so can't LOG, but I have great time to listen my
frequency with second radio and another antenna. First time in my QTH, not in
my life SO2R :)
Sleep. There is another story. Getting older (I am 49), and every contest my
problem is in sleep. After some time I can't be normal, feeling like zombie. I
need some rest, 45 minutes, 1 hour or so. How to borrow with it? Food? Energy
drinks? Coffee doesn't helps, cold water time to time - yes, but not enough. 10
minutes walking arround house - yes, but I think there are some medicine to
use?
Now looking my LOG and see moments what I missed.
Yes there were some moments. When USA opened on 20m second day, more more more
CQ. First morning on 20m when JA opened, and missed both days about 13-15z to
call CQ beaming East on 40m. Calculated - there were possible to get more 3
pointers and score increase to 1.8mln.
So whats all ,........
WRTC-2018 "war" finished, finally.
No more nervous. Think about DX, family, small radio activity, more fun in
life.
Cheers, Sam LY5W
