As usual on this event I did Mixed mode and for a change, low power.
Due to work obligations, I had a late start at 0105z and managed to get just a
couple of contacts befroe teh band closd completely
Missed the most of the entire Saturday (XE time) because work and my XYL
birthday, and again only did of couple of QSO’s.
Sunday morning mildly opened to NA at 1422z with a 30 degrees skewed path to
TX and Florida (Beaming east instead of Northeast).
Conditions were though and most of the contacts were performed at noise level
for the first 3 hours.
Including several PY’s and LU’s
Most notable contact V55DX
Band started to improve stateside at 1700z and decayed at 2000z.
Conditions improved considerably in the last hour that yielded a decent run and
good quota of multipliers, NV, NM, UT, MS, MI, FL, OK, KS as well 3 mexican
states.
On the last 20 minutes of the contest, the signals levels increased
dramatically from S3 to jumped to S9 , Particulary towards CA, AZ, and NM.
