Well that was interesting! Saturday afternoon had me somewhat optimistic;
unfortunately I had only a couple of hours then. Propagation to the West and
Southwest was surprisingly good. Pretty much nothing elsewhere from my QTH.
Sunday was a different story entirely. It was more like 6M: signals would
appear, then drop off the screen. The phone band was pretty dead, but I
understand it did pick up a bit towards grey line - of course, I had other
obligations then! The one treat I had was easily working V55DX in Namibia. Oh,
did I mention that Sunday's propagation was in other directions than Saturday?
Mostly to the South and East early on, then it began to open to the West and
Soutwest again. Thankfully the CW portion of the band kept me busy with
S&P, giving me my daily practice dose and then some.
Yes, I did work K3AJ and N3TD Sunday afternoon, spotting both. Tom sez I gave
away his Run frequency to Eric. I thought it was a mutual agreement, but I'm
happy to take the blame. :-) That was fun.
Tnx to the many PVRC members who helped populate my log, particularly on
Sunday. Without you I would have thrown in the towel way before I had to leave
the house.
