Great contest! I made my first ever 160 meter contacts in my life (44 years as
a ham) during this contest. Since my 40 meter dipole had come down during a
storm, I fed my 60 foot tower at the base against a two wire ground
counterpoise system (adequate but not extensive!) to get on 160, 80 and 40
meters. I also learned that this method of feeding my tower seemed to work
best on 80 and 160 meters. I only spent about 12 minutes in total on 160
meters. Had lots of fun!
