Comments:
60 MPH wind gusts in last weekend's Nor'easter spun my SteppIR 3-element
(w/30/40 trombone) beam and ripped through the coax and Steppir control cable
(shorting out one or more driver chips in the controller) -- so I was left with
only my 80 meter dipole for yesterday's CWT. I managed only 4 QSO's on 80
before everybody apparently migrated to other bands. RBN was spotting me all
over the country on 80, but sadly no one was listening! Tried 15 for a short
time, but did not hear or work anybody.
Hoping to be directional on 40 - 10 again by next Wednesday!
