Comments:

Had some serious outside antenna switching or coax glitches I just could not
seem to overcome.
I made 75 Q's on 20m and one (!) on 10m (D4C) which I will be submitting a full
log for, but this entry will be a single band 15m one.

I (quite literally) waded through the snow to my outside antenna switches but
there's some stuff going on that had me relegated to using only my low A3S on
15m (and my HF9V on 10m & 20m)

Despite swapping some stuff around, cutting myself (twice) I still had no
access to my 4-squares on 20-40-80 & (2-el) on 160. Sigh. Guess it'll
wait til spring now to see what's up, as the deep snow and ice is blocking my
path to further troubleshooting. Aren't antennas great?

Sooooo... this was really a half-arsed single band effort for a bit mid Sat
morning and Sunday around noon.

For the 2 short sessions I was on, condx weren't too bad I suppose, though, as
always, there were several totally unbelievable (huge) QRP and 100w signals. (I
don't know who folks think they are kidding)

Did some work clearing snow from my long ridgetop driveway and had to do 2
snowblower repairs and one car repair. This seems to always happen during Feb,
which coincides with ARRL DX CW !

I never heard the stations I have been reading about sending "TTT" or
just "5NN" (but no power level), but regardless, copy what is sent.

Only 2 really quirky QSO's. One guy who was good copy and called me, but
questioned my "NB" exchange perhaps 7 or 8 times. VE9 = NB...ALWAYS
!

The other one was a certain CT who followed me around sending "VE9AA
CT#XXX COPY COPY" and every time I went back to him, he refused to send me
a power level.(he loved that copy copy copy though) Later, (maybe 30 mins?) he
called me again, and continued with the VE9AA VE9AA CT#XXX COPY COPY 599
100" (finally ! A power level !) weeee

Too many folks sent me my own call when I was running. Is this a software
"default" in some logger predominantly used in EU?

Happy for the Q's, don't get me wrong, but a lot of wasted time. I would rather
have them send the exchange twice rather than send me my own call, which I am
pretty sure I know.

Rigs: IC-7410, N3ZN ZN-9 paddle, Yamaha CM500 headset, N1MM+ logger

CU (all of sudden) in the next one!

dit dit
