Comments:

Before the Contest
-------------------
Its been years since this op and station have been on the air.
- Fixed a broken TIC Ring
- Setup a K3 and Acom 2000
- Connected a computer
Chose something simple - 40M Single Band. Just part-time. Goal - have a little
fun; low stress.

During the Contest
-------------------
- My operating skills were very rusty. Sorry if I caused you any pain.
- Prefixes that should be easy weren't.
- Took a couple of hours to get keyboard muscle memory to work again.
- I tried not to slow down the real contesters when they called in.
- A few people said hi - that was the best.
- The guy sending JW0WOD could not be JW. I had him send it like 3 times until
he got it right - 2W0WOD. A quick look-up reveals he's 14! Cheers, Will!
- The equipment worked fine.
- Most frequency confrontations were civil - not all.
- No RFI complaints.
- Some local noise seems to come and go - it seemed worst toward NE.
- It's not fun to work you when you are QRP and have a 19-letter celebration
call.
- I had fun. Goal achieved.

73,

Jim K1IR
