Very nice contest. We love EA King of Spain contests.
We experienced the usual conditions on lower bands with poor activity during
the night. Higher bands were challenge with 10m fully closed and weird
propagation on 15m. It seems majority of participants ignored the 15m band and
conditions were not bad at all. 20m was full and enjoyable Sunday, then it
became overcrowded in the afternoon with many stations overlapping. We noticed
great activity from Indonesia, unfortunately Japan wasn't reachable from our
location.
Overall, nice weekend with the favorite hobby and best friends. We like RTTY
mode because the station activity doesn't stand in the way of the jolly party
chat.
Thank you all for the activity and thanks to the organizers for the
initiative.
Special congratulations to the young team of 9A1RBZ and their mentors. They
kept up the good pace all the time and are brilliant operators. It's very nice
to see young generation come to play. Wee wish them all the best in 2017.
