Comments:
K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and
W3GB did Multi-Two Assisted in the 2017 ARRL SSB DX, each with
some hours spent on non-radio activities.
W3GB got on 40 and 80m.
05-07Z and on 20 and 15m. 1330-16Z Sat. for 156 Qs and 100 mults.
N3UM was on for the first time 1630-1800Z and 1940-2210Z, alone,
finding 157 Qs and 61 mults, mostly on 20 m. but a few on 15 and
40, only 48 of the Qs running. W3GB returned at 2215Z and N3UM at
0Z from staggered supper breaks and together got 173 more Qs on
the low bands till QRT to sleep at 0410Z (W3GB) and 0550Z (N3UM).
W3GB did an early stint 12-1330Z on 20 m. N3UM was on alone 1340-
1530Z on 20, and then with W3GB till he had to leave at 19Z. N3UM
got a final 124 Qs in 4 hr. before QRT, including our only good
run, 82 Qs in 1.3 hr. starting 20Z, 65/hr. on 20m. We ALmost made
DXCC; 99 distinct countries! Two ZLs on 40 and 5 JAs on 20 only.
