ANTENNAS:
160 - I load up my 6M yagi -- well, it did get to VA!
80, 20, 10 - fan dipole at 30'
40, 15 - 1/4 lambda vertical, 4 elevated radials at 10'
TIC: ~11 hours
Logger: N3FJP's CQ WPX Contest Log Ver 4.2 Beta
100% S&P -- My CW listening skills are meager at best: I need to
listen a few times to copy the exchange, esp >15wpm.
(Better yet - I really need to get disciplined about LEARNING cw.)
Friday night was decent, Saturday was OK, Sunday was a slog. The sun
gave us a double-whammy this year!
The noisy bands did not help my meager CW skills. 10 was very weak,
15 was spotty. 40 & 20 were the useful bands. The one 160 Q was
just so I can say I did it! 80 was a disappointment, as that is the
last band on which I need DXCC for 5BDXCC.
I keep thinking that my W1 prefix is common -- but then I didn't log a W1!
73 -- Larry -- W1DYJ
