Comments:

Good contest, we ran three stations and had a lot of fun. The weather was great
not too hot but an AC in the shack will be a serious consideration for next year
as three amps can generate a lot of heat. We were fortunate that we had the use
of the Surrey ARC's 100' mobile tower with a TH7 this, along with the two towers
at my QTH, was a big help. We had two minor issues, a 90 degree connector
failed and a N connector loosened up, we replaced the 90 degree connector and
tightened the N connector to solve the problems. Radios were an Icom IC7300, an
Icom 756pro and a Flex 6700 all radios did a great job with no interference
issues that caused us to cease operating. We used BPF,s on all radios. A
helpful factor for us is that all three beams are in a north/south line and
pointing east with good spacing. We did have a bit of confusion at the start
with the TH7 being pointed in the wrong direction for the first couple of
hours. We were getting good signals on the TH7 but on Friday evening we were
working JA's more than eastern stations this raised a red flag and on
investigation discovered our error, from then on it worked great. The operators
have been together for this contest for some four years and all work well
together. They have participated in other contests from VE7IO and really enjoy
operating together. Two of the YL ops had been to Paris for the Vimy event so
there were many stories to tell.

Two wrap up the day we had a very nice cake complete with a large Canadian flag
on top and while enjoying the cake we had a chance to go over the contest
events.

A big thanks to all the stations that were there for us to work.
