Comments:
First stab at VHF contest in the wilds of EN48(western Ontario) on a small
island on a very large lake. Will improve on things as years go on. Packing in
antennas and masts is a chore. Ran a K3 at 100 watts to a MOXON up 15 feet and
a PAR Omniangle up 25 feet on top of a rise above the lake. Next time I will
bring a SPE amp to get about 500 watts or so. Lots of fun but a bit
frustrating at times as I think stations are not pointed that way from the east
coast and south very often. At times I could turn a head, they would rotate the
beam and it was FB. I am sure 25 guys were glad for EN48! 73 for now
