Glad to be QRV for the initial running of this contest!
Had been fighting an SWR problem in the week or two prior to the contest that I
was able to debug down to a recessed N-female jack contact...patched it up the
day before the contest and got through Saturday with no problem. On Sunday I
had high SWR every time I tried to point northeast...likely missed some QSOs
with K2YAZ as a result and perhaps others.
Best DX by band:
222 - N8ZM (~403km)
432 - W0UC (~397km)
903 - KU8Y (~147km)
1296 - KU8Y (~147km)
Pretty happy with the results given low power and a multi-band antenna.
Local activity was down...didn't seem to be much local buzz for this contest.
Hopefully the abrupt cutover from the old UHF contest to this format didn't
kill whatever mojo the old August contest had.
