Comments:
This was another WQ6X portable operation from W7AYT's QTH.
The solar flare which hit on the 17th DEVASTATED the NAQP here
in the SF Easy Bay section. Thinking it was an antenna problem I
re-routed the Cobra dipole as a horizontal Vee which helped signal
levels but could not overcome the S7 - S9 QRN.
Luckily I was running the trusty FT-1000mp (and an MFJ-752C)to
knock the noise down below the signal levels.
Unfortunately, it couldn't help with voice intelligibility of
weak S-2 signals with QSB. Oh well - maybe in January.
