Thanks for all the QSOs. All are appreciated.
Bands were in good shape. Nice 15 m opening to Europe from the East Coast USA.
Although listed as HP was not able to operate for most of the time with the
amp. The over 50 year old Jennings RB2A DPDT vacuum relay used in the homemade
amp started arching at the start of a xmission when I started in the Contest.
The arching would last about a second and would not happen each time xmission
started. Made a few adjustments in the start and stop xmission time, but the
arching still occurred. Unfortunately, no miracle happened and the arching
increased in duration. Stopped using the amp., took the top off the amp. and
saw the arching had occurred in the band switch.
Again, fortunately the bands were in good shape and still had fun running low
power for the duration of my contest operating.
