Comments:
The log was open for 27 hours, actually I was at the radios 17 hours.
Very interesting contest. I spent some time with EXEL to analyze operator age
profiles. Interesting and to me surprising finding was that in the oldest age
group 80-91 years that the number W/VE calls double of JAs. Total numbers were
almost equal.
There were were over 100 operators of my age(76)or older and only 122 QSOs
with
operators 40 or younger, in my log. These numbers exclude 45 clubs, YL or
Dupes.
44 operators were in in the age group of 80-91 years. Not the end of the world
from personal point of view but we all should be worried about the number in
age group under 40.
Of course my sample is not representing of the whole but can give a hint of
direction.
Unfortunately the age break down of CW and SSB contesters is not as easily
available. Comparison could be of interest.
Average age of all, excluding club and YL operators, was 59,5 years.
Almost 67% of the QSOs in my log were with operators over 60.

I can think many reasons why elderly people like RTTY. Maybe these numbers
inspire
discussion at clubs etc.
Thanks for all the QSOs and see you all in the next one.
