Comments:
Another chapter in the N7AT M/2 book, with began in 2010, just after the
formation of the Arizona Outlaws Contest Club. The superb ops that visit our
simple one tower station, here at K8IA/N7RQ/N7AT, continue to prove that one
does not need multiple towers, dozens of yagis and a kings ransom to have some
fun in M/2.
We sometimes do have our technical glitches and, this year, our glitch happened
to be a broadband IMD wiping out most of our 80/160 receiving antenna system
whenever 40m transmitted. It completely shattered any hopes for an effective
160m weekend and required a desperation workaround to have any 80m numbers at
all the second night. Something on my list to investigate and fix before the
Spring.
Our QSO's/Continent breakdown looks like this:
----------------- C o n t i n e n t S u m m a r y -----------------
160 80 40 20 15 10 Total Pct
---------------------------------------------------------------------
North America 32 144 195 190 207 6 774 23.7
South America 6 15 37 56 91 11 216 6.7
Europe 0 54 182 298 35 0 569 17.6
Asia 2 79 685 476 225 0 1467 45.5
Africa 2 9 19 21 18 0 69 2.1
Oceania 4 9 47 34 35 1 130 4.0
--------------------------------------------------------------
Total 46 310 1165 1075 611 18 3225
CU all in ARRL DX CW in February, our next scheduled M/2 here.
