RX: Perseus SDR sync. with 756pro,
TX Ant: T vertical ( top at 15m) with 6 elevated radials each 7.5 m
RX Ant: 2-el. Phased array with small magn. loops and short dipoles very close
to TX ant. The Tx ant is detuned during rx periods.
DX: 66 W/VE stns, 6 JA, 12 Africa, 7 SA, 2 OC ;
Assisted: dx.hu:8000  DX cluster.
QTH: village in a valey; west & east horizon closed below 20 deg.
Better score than 2016. For the first time used "modern" way of
contesting - just clicking on the screen list from the cluster. Very easy but
do not like it - there is no skill there - if you have good cluster and big
power/antenna the result will be automatically very high. 40/60 % ratio
Run/Search. This year the band noise was low. Far East was very difficult to
work due to 1200 m asl mountain just 4 km away from my QTH. Heard more
multipliers but need more power and better tx antenna to work them. Had a lot
of fun.
