Comments:
I finished my Saturday night shift at W3LPL about 14Z and came home. Of course,
I played around a bit from home, just calling the loud ones. I did do a couple
of CQs to see who would respond to the fresh meat. Those EF8R guys are sharp.
There sure are a lot of countries in the Caribbean and SA, easy pickings from
here, especially on 15M and 20M, with 100W and a dipole.
I set a small goal: work at least one non-VE DX QSO on each band. 10M
cooperated with a little opening to SA (that band seems to know when it's
Sunday afternoon of a contest weekend). 80M yielded a European. Heard some
Europe on 160M, but could not get through; had to settle for a PJ2.
I don't have a count from my 'LPL work, but I do know that my 88 QSOs from home
are more than I made from 02Z to 10Z Sunday on 20M at 'LPL.
