Comments:
This was another last-minute ad-HOC remote operation
GiG from NX6T in Fallbrook ("Nash-Ville").
To keep the shack heat down, I ran the K3 into the ACOM 2000 at
only 550 watts. It didn't seem that anyone had trouble hearing me
until CQ'ers showed up on top of me (ignoring the F-11 Key: QRL/QSY).
Internet latency BELCHES plagued me throughout the weekend,so if
I seemed slow to respond or out of synch, that is why.
The AMAZING thing was to receive a call from G3XKQ on 7031.31 @ 23:34z
(mid afternoon in W6-land) - I was his 1st QSO.
This was followed by EA5YU @23:46 - HuH? wOw! Hey - whatever works.
I have never heard so many VE stations as I did this weekend.
If we could "recruit" just 10% of those stations to operate in the
Sweepstakes, NAQP & WPX GiGs, I would be overjoyed.
