It's been a while since I've had an 80m contesting experience like this one. My
typical 40m numbers are much higher than my other bands, but not in this one. On
80m, everyone I called could actually hear me for a change. Band conditions were
excellent on low bands. Mostly operated SandP and rates were 46-66 per hour. I'm
running an IC751 with at far from full power on 80 with my 80m dipole at 10'. I
had limited time due to family engagements at the last minute. I always enjoy
working all the CWOps members too...There were several times when my brain
thought that I was in the CWT contest because I sent my member number instead of
my state in the exchange. This is a great way to kick-off the new year. Worked
