Comments:
5+ years at the new QTH and still no antennas up yet. I put up a field day
style vertical for 40m made from scrap tubing with about 30 radials. I
discovered that if I turn on the auto tuner in my FT1000MP I could make contacts
with it on 80m! After spending 3 hours on 40m, I spent the last hour on 80m and
was surprised to find I could easily work mults all over the country.
