Wheeeee!
That was great fun. Started on 40. S&P'd my way through one time, then went
to 80 on a hunch. Didn't go back until about 45 after and then only for 1 qso.
Back to 80 and finished the last 5 minutes with 10 qso's putting me over 100 for
the first time since I lost my SO2R Omni-VI station 2 years ago. Great fun.
Highlights included some very weak stations calling me and, with one exception,
I managed to dig them out, F6HKA (my nominator) calling me on 80m, W5MJ, my
buddy Madison called in, weak and a bar scotch&water, but pulled him out.
Plus, worked lots of new (to me) callsigns tonight--or maybe its just been a few
weeks since I last worked them.
My 20m RFI problem (K3 went key down on first dit or dah) was cleard up when I
happened to move the WKUSB winkey from the top of the wattmeter to the top of
the K3--all of 8 inches. No RFI problems since.
Thanks to all for the QSO's and a great hour!
