Comments:

Didn't really expect to operate at all. I injured myself on Tuesday night at
Hapkido class. We were doing a relatively easy throw, and somehow, when I was
thrown, my left knee ended up under my left ribs. (Yeah, I didn't know I was
that flexible) I spent three days working from home sitting in the easy chair. I
had planned to help with a Hapkido exam Saturday, but couldn't being injured.

By Saturday, I was still hurting, but feeling well enough to stagger down the
stairs to the shack. Comfortable in the chair, I figured I'd operate until I had
enough. I didn't expect to put in nearly 9 hours.

Conditions were pretty much as expected for sunspot minima. 10m never opened at
all, and 15m was basically a California-fest. It is these sort of conditions
that make one wish that the NAQP RTTY included 160m! 20m wasn't that hot, and by
2015z I moved down to 40m for a good 40 minute run. By the half-way mark, 20m
was basically closed, 40m had been worked heavily.

The shunt-fed tower generally has trouble when 80m first opens, but I was
encouraged at how well it worked at 0000z. Rest of the contest was bouncing
between 40m and 80m. By 0345z, I'm pretty much done and hit the big switch.

Amazingly, I worked no NA DX. Only PY2NY made it into the log. I heard an XE
station, but he never responded to my calls.

A pretty good day of operating.
