K3, ALS600 @ 300w, 125ft open feeder doublet @ 35ft fed as T vertical using 5BTV
radial field as counterpoise. WOW QRN was pretty tough and at times I
experienced deep valley QSB. I should expect as much as we are into spring here.
Only heard NA stations and no DX. Tried to get a run going a few times but only
heard very loud stations though a dozen very weak Ops called but were well below
the noise level, so majority effort was S&P. No directional Top Band RX
antennas as I live on a postage stamp sized lot and I expect the main reason why
I was limited to mostly central and East coast NA STN. Maybe some roll out
stealth Beverage next time; Top Band can be addictive. Thanks for the QSO. 73
