Flex 3000, Windom, 3el Steppir, CQ/X 1.8.1.0
I left the K3 at home today to force myself to try the club's new (old) Flex
3000 as a test in preparation for Field Day. One thing I learned is I've got a
lot to learn about using the Flex -- especially in S&P mode. Trying to do
S&P on 40m was a disaster -- many failures on the part of the op to change
the focus back to the logging program after tuning to a new signal resulted in
bogus entries on the frequency window on the Flex screen. Run mode on 20m was
quite a bit better although I noticed that keying by the WinKey was somewhat
erratic -- possibly RFI. Apologies for a number of LID-like moments.
Thanks for the Qs and helping out with my learning session. Hopefully better
next time.
