Comments:
Very tough night on the ears. This was in contrast to conditions previous
Wednesday's CWT.
Night-long huge lightning storm SW of Lake Superior covering several states in
Blitzortung tick marks kept up a continuous din that never went S9+5 here which
covered up many signals that I could not copy. Managed to work TM6M for
distance. No South or Central America and just a few 7 pointers from the west
coast. It was clear west-coasters were having hard time copying east. RDF no
help as the storm was the same bearing quadrant as east coast on any RX antenna.
The usual contingent of mid-country zero-land and SW missing. Thanks for those
that stuck it out until I could dig you out of the din.
Station: K3 + Alpha 8410. Inverted L + FCP.
