Comments:

Thanks for all the QSOs.

Got late start as returning from week at the beach with family. Then had a few
in the shack and op. issues to be resolved before getting in the Contest. That
took approx. 15 minutes and by 1700 LT I seemed to be ready:>)

Started on 40/15 as second SteppIR still on the ground and the only in play
antennas at 1700 were the 40 meter and single 20-10 SteppIR. Still an okay way
to start SO2R especially with 15 churning out the Qs. Hey, if 15 is this open,
how about 10 meters. Yep, big surprise to hear all the stations contesting on
10. Brought back fond memories of years' past:>).

One of the stations was on 40 m for the length of my 9 hours. Flipped the other
station between 15/10 until 1900 LT before getting on 20 m. Worked 40/20 SO2R
until 2130 LT. Finished the Contest on 40/80.

Once the week-away issues were cleared, the station worked much better than the
operator. (Gonna have to do something about the op:>)

Did have several DMC participating stations call and request a number. Gave
them one, but none of them gave me a name. Oh well, always good to get
confirmation the antennas' back lobes are still there.

Didn't have a goal when started as wasn't sure how long I could last after all
the packing, driving, unpacking that took place before I was able to start
thinking about the Contest. Along about 0000 LT, looked like 600 Qs and 100K
points was do-able. Made the 600 Qs goal, but missed the 100K points goal.

Again, thanks for all the QSOs in the Contest. They all are appreciated.

  73,
  Mike, K4GMH
