Comments:
>From 4:30 PM ET through 7:45 PM Saturday, double hop to the DM/DN/CM grids was
pretty exciting with several California QSOs. Best though was VA6AN calling in
from DO42, Sunday from 11 AM - 1 PM had brief far west openings with XE2JS
(DL68) the best. Sunday afternoon was a tough slog trying to find anybody new
on either band.
2 meters was pretty flat with a little enhancement to Maine.
No 6 meter EU although the CS5BALG beacon was coming thru nicely in the last
half hour. This was a CW/SSB operation only.
XCVR: Yaesu FT-847
6M amp: Modified Heath SB-220 = 1 KW
2M amp: RFC brick = 200 watts
6M antenna: 6-over-6 at 50/70 ft.
2M antenna: 2x FO12s at 110/100 ft.
