Comments:
This was another WQ6X remote operation from NX6T in Fallbrook.
To make things easy, I dialed Station #1's Elecraft K3 back to 49.45 watts,
running into a C-31 yagi, 2-elements on 40 and a coaxial inverted vee.
When you think about it, the difference between 50 & 100 watts is only
a theoretical 3db (1/2 s-unit)reduction in signal strength.
Having rotatable antennas for 40 - 10 made all the difference.
On 80 I take what the droopy Inv. Vee gives me.
While I enjoyed the contest throughout, I was AMAZED by the AWEsome
10 meter opening. Remember: If everyone is listening (and no one is
transmitting) then the band will seem DEAD. Calling CQ NAQP on 28082.82
resulted in nearly 50 10-meter QSOs.
