Comments:
Seems like we had different kind of contest from West Coast and rest of the
country. We had some 15 and OK 20 from here but miserable 80 and poor 40. Low
bands were really bad during Saturday night from here, on Sunday at then end of
the event it sounded more normal and if it would have continued I think low
bands would have been great from here.
I think this was probably 1st SS I did full time as single op, usually I have
joined W6YI multi team for this but it was not on this year. I decided to go
assisted to avoid extreme boredom on Sunday and it worked for me, it actually
made it more fun even during slow times. I wasn't intending to do full time but
rather just practice for CQ CW as I'm travelling to zone 16 for it and wanted to
test few things that I will take with me. But online scoreboard changed my
mind.
Scoreboard was great, wish everyone who has online connection would use it.
VE5MX went his way but K9CT and I were battling it out whole event. At the end
he got ahead few Qs. There were couple other stations with higher numbers, and
it would be great if we all would use scoreboard. I think it is direction this
contesting stuff needs go to be interesting.
Tnx for Qs de Marko
