Comments:
Flex 6500 + AL80B (800 to 1000 W PEP) ; WinTest Logging
Headset/boom mic assembly modified with Heil HC-4 microphone element installed.
TH6 at 72 feet, 40-2CD at 62 feet, 40 meter dipole at about 25 feet, 80 meter
Inverted V (apex at 58 feet).
The new 40/30 meter dipole at about 25 to 30 feet worked great for 40 meter CQ
run. The majority of the 40 meter QSOs were on the dipole instead of the 402CD
yagi at 62 feet.
73% of QSOs via CQ runs.
The last 4 sections needed were DE, MS, NL and MB. Found NL (big pile up) on 80
and MB on 40. Then made a CQ run on 80 (saw that DE was spotting a few
stations, so figured he was probably operating S&P on 80 meters). During the
final 80 meter CQ run, MS and DE called -- DE was the last one for the sweep at
QSO number 280 (thank you NW3Y).
CW is still my favorite mode by far. :)
Thanks for the Qs, Ms, and fun.
73,
Gary
