Comments:
Missed the fun Friday night. Was only able to make 4 Qs at the contest start,
due to XYLs work holiday dinner. Worked W0AIH, ND9G, NV9L, AB9H, and KY0Q in
that order before QRTing to dinner. Made two more quick Qs after returning from
dinner and dancing just after 05:00 UTC, then QRTd for the night. Picked some of
the best times to operate Saturday, in between holiday preparation chores.
Propagation was interesting, needles to say. Decent prop to SA, east cost and
SE.
Sunday, it felt more like a VHF contest. Was hoping for similar prop like
Saturday morning, but not meant to be. A little flurry of activity to the east
coast the last 20 minutes or so.
Of the 35 mults worked, 24 were states, 2 VE, 4 XE states, and the other five
were CE, CX, LU, P4 and PY.
Bested last years score by almost 2X.
73 Gene, N9TF
Rig, K3S 100 watts to 2 element triband at 37'.
