Comments:

Not a serious effort but fun while it lasted.

I don't usually operate this contest because normally I am in Japan and when
operating my station in Ohio via the remote the good hours are mostly in the
middle of the night when I am sleeping. This year, however, I had just arrived
and was jet-lagged and sleeping at weird hours, so I found myself awake when the
band was pretty good on Saturday (the middle of the night my time).

Another reason why I don't usually pay attention to this contest is that my 35'
high tribander is fixed west, not ideal for 10M. Oddly, stations to the south
could generally hear me but I couldn't get stations to the east to answer my
repeated calls. So I heard but could not work VE9, MA, CT, NY, PA, MD, and VA
and maybe a couple of others. But stations to my west could hear me pretty well
and I had a couple of short runs of CA, AZ and NV stations. I also managed to
work all Zeros except for ND including a bunch of CO stations.

10 can be such a weird but fun band!

73, Hal W1NN remote in Tokyo
