Comments:
This was a learning experience. Set up N1MM+ to work with WSJT and ran FT8 for
the first 3 hours but was frustrated by the large percentage who were not in the
contest but answered my CQ. And the rate was like watching paint dry.
So I decided to see what a RTTY contest was like without having the rig set up
for it. A K3 has the ability to send tty from the paddle so that and four
messages in the K3's memories was used for the contest. I had to send all calls
worked by hand which kinda slowed things down. I did hit >100 Q/hr on Sunday
afternoon when I was basically fresh meat. Sure missed having working f-keys.
MMTTY played well and the ALT-Grab was handy. Guess I'm going to hit a couple of
the Wednesday night sprints to get my act together....
Fun though.
