Comments:

Radio 1 IC-7410
Got up early and drove to Saint John, NB (on the Bay of Fundy) to pick up a
motorcycle manual I ordered on Sept 1rst.
Too cold outside this morning to fix the 160m antenna (-17*C/-27*C with wind
chill) so no 160m antenna.

Condx were all but non existent on 10m, save a couple Es Q's

15m was for all intense and purposes nearly a waste of time, but I likely dual
CQ's nearly 2 hours for my paltry 17 Q's there. It is what is it.

20m was weak and died promptly 1 hour after SS (4 hrs after opening bell)

40m started strong !.....then went downill fast.

Forced to dual CQ 40/80 while the greyline was only halfway across NA

No 160m antenna, so frigged with internal tuner in 2nd rig and outboard tuner
and managed to scrape together 3 Q's using my ZS6BKW--whew! I was sure I was
gonna smoke the rig.

80m condx were OK, but 40m went super long just after supper here and was only
hearing weak FL/TX and KP4/K3-someone eventually.

Not much fun CQing on only a single band when MUF is probably 4MHz.

(I bet guys went crazy over 160m prop, but I couldn't hear anything on that
band)
By 10:30pm local I had all the fun I needed.

Antennas for Radio 1 include, but not limited to:

10m - Bent/twisted A3S on my shed ~24\\\'

15m - K3LR/K1WA (parasitic) 5el array (partially working--ice storm)

20m - Wire/Aluminum 4-square of inverted L\\\'s (Comtek)

40m - Wire 4-square in the trees (Comtek)

80m - Wire 4-square of Inverted L\\\'s in the trees (Comtek)

160m - nada

Radio 2 - IC-7410

Antenna for Radio 2 is a modified ZS6BKW with an added 15m inverted Vee.

80m-6m contest bands, no 160m<<haha, with a tuner on 160m this evening.

N1MM+, CM-500 Mic, N3ZN paddle, SO2R+ box.

Thanks for the Q's

CU (all of a sudden) in the next one.

dit dit

Mike in NB, VE9AA
