Comments:

These days the single-op position at K0RF is set-up for SO2R using 2 computers.
I'd never tried it, not even practiced it for a minute. So, I expected trouble
going in cold with it--I told Chuck it would be like running the 100-yard dash
with a broken leg. Unfortunately, I was right. To say that I had some, ummm,
'difficulty' adapting to 2 keyboards would be charitable. The L-Word comes to
mind--LID! I just kept making the same mistakes over & over--to the
frustration of both myself and my callers (several of whom rightly gave-up &
left), whom I insisted trying to work/log on the wrong keyboard/radio. It seems
that my conditioned-responses are all geared to "classic" SO2R. Guess
the old dog is kind-of slow with the new tricks?
Oh well, it was still fun to be on, make a little noise, even with all the
screw-ups. Chuck's station performed flawlessly--the problem was the guy in the
chair. Maybe my next stop will be FT8? ROTFL!
