Thanks to the guys at Remote Ham Radio for setting me up with W1/Calais.
A KW to a 4-square transmitting antenna and a Hi-Z 8 vertical RX system.
Hmmm. Maybe when conditions aren't so good being in extreme eastern Maine
isn't an advantage. I had a great ARRL 160 and had big hopes for this one.
But, the S-8 EU stations were CQing in my face to the East of me, and there
was a 160M NAQP going on to the West of me that I couldn't break into. No
W6/W7 louder than S-1.
Just a short effort in this one.
