Rig: IC-7700/SPE 1.5KA-FA
Antennas: 160m inverted L @80ft, 80m dipole at 85ft, 40m delta loop @ 80ft,
20/15 (tuned the delta loop).
New SPE amp performed flawlessly and seamlessly as expected.
Well, Murphy struck my health bigtime. I almost didn;t operate at all. Had a
really bad cold which peaked FRI and SAT. While the equipment has been moved to
the new shack, it is not finished (no heat, no permanent electricity). Just felt
too awful to try to sit out in the cold and operate. Tried to operate late SAT
afternoon into about 0100 Sun, Had to stop and rest, felt terrible. By Sun
afternoon I felt well enough to operate the last 3 hours of the contest. This
proved pretty efficient since I still needed a lot of big guns on a couple
bands. Managed to catch a few station on 4 bands. Condx great on 160 last hour
of the test, and I snagged at least 5 EU mults then.
OK, maybe I can make it up in ARRL DX SSB.
