Comments:

Just built (my design/construction) a 5el 20 meter yagi on a 44 ft boom. It is
going to be on a 70ft Rohn 55 tower...but only have the first 2 sections on the
base, 27ft high. Decided to try the new antenna out, so assembled it and hauled
it up to 22ft. I was surprised that is sounded BETTER than my KT37 at 60ft.
While testing the SWR...about 1.2:1 across the band, I heard CQ TEST, and
noted that the SP contest was on...so was going to use it to test the
antenna...not expecting much with an antenna at 22ft!!! On 20, ONLY used the new
antenna...as it was always louder than the KT37. Not a bad showing for a 22ft
antenna!!

>From my score, I guess I need to start building a 40 meter yagi next, rather
than the 6 el 15 meter!! I usually do pretty well on 80 meters with my
4-square...but K4XL really was hearing well. It took me time to pull calls out
which he got quickly, he have Yagi??

Enjoyed the contest....lots to do to get ready for the FQP...will operate as
W4A!
