Comments:
Late start. Who would have guessed the mouse battery would die exactly at the
start of the contest! Started on 20. All signals weak. at 1919Z 37 x 37.
Rate improved a bit when I went to bidirectional. Still having problems with
the newest version of Flex software. When I went to 40 the radio would not
communicate with N1MM. Rebooted Flex, no fix. Restarted N1MM and communication
was re-established. Lost 10 minutes. 40 had better signals than 20 did, but I
needed more time there. Regardless, good exercise.
Rolled up over a mile of coax and wire taking down the beverages in preparation
for farming. Found varmints had chewed into a lot of coax and even the SAL 30
which was about 2 feet above ground.
